As materials for elastic rollers, aramid fibers which have resistances from heat and pressure are used. Main uses of them are for embossing to make uneven structure on material surface and for calendering to make glossy and flatness.
In addition, elastic rollers are also used for special uses including laminating.
ARAMID ROLLER
Aramid rollers are made of Nomex® paper which is made from Aramid fiber 100%.
Aramid fiber is used for the backing rollers of the high temperature calendering machines due to their high heat-resistance.
- WIDE RANGE OF TEMPERATURES
- Aramid rollers have a track record of continuous use temperature at 260°C (the surface temperature of kiss-rollers.) Nomex® paper used for Aramid rollers is approved by the UL standard for a continuous use temperature of 220°C.
- HIGH PRESSURE RESISTANCE
- Aramid rollers can endure a nip pressure up to 450 kN/m of linear pressure.
- SAFETY
- No crack and puncture cause those are specifics of the plastic.
- OZONE RESISTANCE
- Nomex® paper has excellent resistance to ozone, which prevents the deterioration of the surface of Nomex® paper by ozone.
- HEAT INSULATING PROPERTIES
- Nomex® paper has excellent heat insulating properties and can be used as a guide roller and a free roller. The heat conductivity of Nomex® paper is lower than that of glass and asbestos.
- CHEMICAL RESISTANCE
- Nomex® paper has excellent resistance to strong acids, bases, and organic solvents.
- OTHER FEATURES
- Superior corona resistance and electric insulation.
- STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS
- Hardness: 70 to 89°(shore D)
Coolant: Unnecessary
Structure: Either a pipe or a round bar can be used for manufacturing
